Its been two years since we first laid eyes on our precious girl. Its cliche to say, but time sure has flown. She seems to have grown so much in just the few months of the summer. Her vocabulary has exploded and now it seems we are having more "adult" like conversations with her. Her attitude/personality or passion is also starting to shine through brightly. She has no issues expressing her true emotion or opinion, but is also very sweet and nurturing - especially that tilt of the head when she is asking you if you "want some more" or "feel much better"? Its so very cute! Shes so much more active which scares me because I'm deathly afraid of her falling off the slide or bumping her head badly.

She's starting to tell us more that she wants to use the potty and has even become a little more consistent in using it at school. I just knew letting her decide on her own time would be the best way for our little diva. Its funny when she runs through the house naked exclaiming to everyone in sight that she "pee peed in her potty" and wants "three m&m's". She'll even tell everyone she sees at school that she got "three m&m's" that day.

Her birthday was so much fun. We had half the family here and wish'd everyone else could have celebrated with us, but we know they were here in spirit. She enjoyed opening her gifts and showing them off, and enjoyed the Happy Birthday song so much more. She asked us to sing it again on Saturday and Sunday. She even blew out her own candles.

We have the big gender reveal of the new baby on the 10th, the reunion on the 13th and then Halloween. We're hoping to take her to the pumpkin patch to pick out her own pumpkin this year. Maybe she'll have the urge to pick out the guts on her own.

Its been a long hot summer...at some times pretty miserable. However, we have had quite a few visitors that helped make it fun! Honey and Pawpaw came a few times to visit and enjoy the lake with us, and help build a couple of things around the house. Aunts Kacey and Michelle also came with Uncle RJ, Uncle Adam, and Presley, Landry, Molly and Ansley also came. It was so nice to have all that noise in the house since we're used to having such a quiet home. We also made a big trip to California to visit with Gigi and Nana, and Aunt Torie, Uncle Geraud, Keily and Nyla! The beach and bonfires were so relaxing and a visit to Disneyland was exhausting. DellaGrace met Minnie Mouse and was scared at first but couldn't stop talking about her later.

We spent almost every weekend on the boat - which is Jay's favorite thing to do now. It was not as fun for me this summer because I was nauseated almost all day, every day. The weather is getting cooler and my energy levels are picking back up. Could have something to do with the fall quickly approaching - my favorite time of the year. We've been gearing up for Football and Chili in the crockpot and DellaGrace's 2nd Birthday. She is so excited about being two - or maybe just having a birthday herself. She is not shy about telling us the kind of cake she wants or what sort of presents. Its going to be a great birthday weekend for her. Aunt Kacey and (we think) Honey and Pawpaw will be driving up to enjoy some "pink cake" and some BBQ.

Last night we had the pleasure of meeting Freddie Falcon - yes - he was in Huntsville Alabama! They made a visit to the local Publix and we made sure to give DellaGrace the chance to meet him. She does sleep with her stuffed Freddie EVERY night. She was okay with the "big freddie" as long as he stayed his distance.

Next up - Little Gilbert family reunion in Natchez. Looking forward to it!
